Brian and Grace

Written by Missions Team on May 4th, 2011

Our Kenya 2011 Team was so excited to get to meet Brian and Grace and to tell them how much they are loved by God Himself, and by so many friends in America.   Grace wasn’t feeling great while we were there, but she loved having LOTS of attention with her American “aunties” and “uncles” giving her their undivided attention!  Please continue to pray for Grace.  She has good days and bad, but never loses her great attitude and incredible will to live.

Brian was so excited to meet Sahra, and the other team members, and thrilled to get the awesome box of treats from the WWK.  He sends his greetings to everyone at Central and thanks you for your prayers for himself and his sister, Grace.

Thank you so much for making an amazing difference in the lives of these two precious children.  You are playing an important part in providing hope and a future for them.

Update on Grace at Grace Children’s Centre

Written by Missions Team on December 8th, 2010

Grace is gaining strength. Tests show that new medications are having the desired effect. Dr.Okello, our Nairobi cardiologist, has declared Grace’s recent crisis “over”. Test results show her kidneys have begun to function (meaning dialysis, begin strongly considered just two days ago, is now off the table), and her heart is once again circulating her blood. The swelling of her face and legs is going down. Her liver is functioning properly.

We at CMIA know that the very fact that Grace is responding to medication and gaining strength – when just five short days ago she was a dying child and doctors seemed to literally be grasping at straws trying to avert what seemed so imminent – is truly a miracle of God. Your prayers have, as evidenced by this rather abrupt turn-around in her condition, been heard! Some of you have mobilized literally hundreds of prayer warriors to intercede for this child. We are so very grateful. Your travail on her behalf has driven the spirit of death away.

Please don’t stop prayer and intercession now! Grace still has heart that is wearing out. She needs a new one. Our sovereign God is able to give her a new heart. I don’t know about you, but David and I are ready to witness a creative miracle of God. Let’s continue to join our faith and believe for it!
